"I don't think there are any limits on what we can do [this year]. With this group of play- ers, it's going to be their decision as far as how many games they want to win and how far they want to go in the postseason." "We are sort of an unknown quan- tity this year. We lost seven girls who were seniors, three of whom had been to state twice. But I still think we can be a really good and competitive team, and I don't see any reason that we can't get back to where we were." "I've coached a lot of sports, but to me, nothing beats run- ning because of the life lessons you learn and the camaraderie of your team. It's go- ing to be exciting to see where this season goes because we have girls on the team this year who have started to commit themselves to running." "We have a [strong] team this year, and I have a good feeling about this season. We had four freshmen play with us last year, and as sophomores I think it will be great [because] they have had one [more year] to de- velop."

"The girls seem su- per motivated and enthusiastic and really open to what we are presenting to them. I hope that they are re- ally successful and make it one step further than they did last year in tournament play."
