"I'm pretty posi- tive and opti- mistic [about this season]. We have a lot of girls return- ing, and we are going to have more experience than we've had in years past." "For years we have de- cided that cross coun- try summer training is a personal, indi- vidualized task, and a lot of it is based on the boys' desire. We are excited that we have a lot of boys doing the training, and we hope that we have a critical mass of athletes that are prepared for the season to start." "We have a lot of new players in- terested in play- ing this year, so with such a big team, we'll have a lot of good things in front of us. We also have some very good return- ing players, and I think we are going to have a strong top six." "Your legacy and tradition doesn't do anything for you on the field. What does is the hard work in the weight room and being able to compete at a high level. When we start in August, [playoffs] is our goal and ambition."
